Dr. Ali is currently involved in developing high quality business strategic alliances and plans ensuring short-term and long-term objectives for VeeMed.
As a CEO he is responsible for all operations and business activities to ensure they produce desired outcomes and are consistent with overall mission and vision of the company, VeeMed, Inc. He builds trust relations with key partners and stakeholders and act as a point of contact for important shareholders. He maintains a deep knowledge of the corporate finance, markets and performance management principles, which helps him in making high-quality investing decisions to advance the business.
Dr. Ali brings over 10 years of leadership experience in the healthcare field.
He has vast experience in leading and motivating subordinates to advance employee engagement in order to develop a high performing team leading Intensive Care Units in Dignity Health, Sacramento Valley.
He has developed a robust program for Intensivists’ coverage in Sacramento Valley, California that has been recognized by Health Grades and LeapFrog. He has also been key instrumental in development of Telemedicine Intensive Care coverage in nearby area access’ hospitals. He has implemented specialty clinics – Pulmonary in Rural areas surrounding Sacramento Valley.
He was invited to participate in a 2-year executive program at Dignity Health with a focus on leadership development, healthcare business, strategic thinking and project management.
He holds Masters in Business Administration Degree in HealthCare. He maintains active board certifications in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary, Neuro-critical Care and Sleep Medicine.
Dr. Ali has actively served as a member of on the Board of Directors of Mercy Medical Group. He works as Director, Pulmonary and Critical Care Department for Mercy Medical Group. He also serves as a Medical Director of ICU in area hospital and has practical day-to-day knowledge and understands the challenges encountered in healthcare systems that helps him tremendously in analyzing problematic situations to provide solutions to ensure company’s survival and growth
Dr. Ali has been named among the “Best Sacramento Doctors, 2016 Edition”.

Ijaz is responsible for looking after growth strategy and investor relations. After spending many exciting years with Cisco Systems, Lucent Technologies and successful startups in Silicon Valley, he worked for AT&T, IBM and Verizon around the world on senior level positions. His dream is to make Healthcare affordable and available to people across the globe through disruptive technologies. When he is not working, he loves to read about politics, anthropology, and history of science. He is an alum of NED University, University of Southern California, University of Oxford and Duke University.
Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer
James Roxburgh is a co-founder and managing partner of VeeMed, Inc. His undergraduate degree is in Exercise Physiology. He also has degrees in Respiratory Therapy, Nursing and a Master Degree in Public Administration. He has more than 30 years of healthcare experience in both the clinical and management settings. He is one of the founding members of one of the largest Acute Care Telemedicine programs in the United States. In 2015 he was recognized by President Barack Obama and Catholic Healthcare Initiative, receiving an Innovation Award for the development of the TeleICU “Round & Respond” Program. He is published in Catholic Health Association’s (Jan-Feb 2015 edition), and has been a frequent speaker at many notable annual conferences which includes: HIMSS, American Telemedicine Association, American Heart Association and American Medical Group Association.
Director Tele-ICU Program USA
Dr. Haider completed his internal medicine residency from Weill Medical College of Cornell University, Bronx, NY. He is trained in critical care medicine at university of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC), Pittsburgh, PA. He is board certified in internal medicine and critical care medicine.
Dr. Haider has extensive experience in managing critically ill patients via remote presence (Tele-critical care) and is an expert at standardizing the ICU protocols and guidelines to assure consistent approach in managing medical, technical and individual issues. He has provided Tele-ICU services for many years and has in-depth knowledge of Tele-ICU policies, protocols, outcome quality metrics and patient satisfaction. He is known for his leadership role in patient’s safety and outcomes. In collaboration with other ICU team disciplines; he has been actively involved in development and enforcement of clinical and administrative protocols that are intended to improve safety of patients and to meet regulatory requirements. Dr. Haider is an active member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine and American College of Chest Physicians.
Medical Director, Tele-Clinics and Population Health Management
Dr. Shaji in involved in planning, implementation and directing a broad range of outpatient medical service programs for Veemed. He has been actively involved in developing outpatient tele-clinic programs especially for rural health. He helps drive improvements in population health management and healthcare delivery by providing strategic leadership, implementation of a population health management IT platform and data analytic design and integrity.
Dr. Shaji is a pulmonologist and intensitivist, board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary and critical care medicine. He is actively developing outpatient Tele-clinic programs for various healthcare systems. His recent project includes home monitoring of advance COPD patients and reducing their readmission to the hospital. He has served as pulmonary division chief and medical director of critical care program.
